Few designers can have had as much impact on the day to day lives of computer users as Susan Kare. She was responsible for the icons that have now become part of the graphic language: the original MacPaint interface (above), the Chicago font (originally called Elefont), and an assortiment of icons designed for the original Macintosh interface (folder icon, printer icon, watch cursor icon, Apple start up icon, trashcan icon…).
